 We invite you to taste and explore a variety of flavors while joining DS Action to kick off the National Down Syndrome Congress’ (NDSC) ad campaign "We're More Alike Than Different.” You will have an opportunity to meet, through speakers, art, and media, a variety of exceptional individuals with Down syndrome.  DS Action needs your help to sustain the Down Syndrome Center at Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego. Join us in our efforts to meet our fundraising goal of $250,000, which will keep the center operating for at least 3 years. To date, we have raised over $60,000, but we have yet to reach our goal for 2008. No amount is too small. Your tax deductible donation goes directly to funding necessary resources for the Down Syndrome Center, and will improve the lives of children with Down syndrome and their families.  RCHSD Genetics department is currently taking appointments for the Down Syndrome Center at (858) 966-5840. Currently the Down Syndrome Center is scheduling children birth through 5 years, but a wait list has been started for children over 5 years old. DS Action and Rady Children's Hospital want to give the parents an opportunity to have their newborns seen at the center first, but the center will be open to children up through 18 years old in the future. If you have not already done so, please call the center to make an appointment or to put your child on the wait list, as spots are filling up quickly.
